Brian V. Kuzoff, principal of AltMar, has served the Canadian oil patch in exploration and development for over 30years. He has provided project management, engineering design and safety consulting services for a wide range of domestic and international companies and governments. He has been involved in remote area facilities design and construction and offshore marine projects in the North American Arctic, Middle East, Russia; and most recently Kazakhstan. He managed large scale projects in energy and non-energy related fields in a number of countries. He has held senior positions in international marketing and business development for various companies. From 1980 to 1984 he was the founding partner and President of Oxbow Engineering Associates Limited. From 1985 to 1994 he was the founding partner and Managing Director of Oxbow Resources Limited. In 1994 AltMar Resources was formed to deal exclusively in international business.
During his career he has developed successful business, marketing & training program funding proposals ranging from $26,000.00 to $500,000.00 for Canadian clients. He has successfully negotiated and completed 3 joint ventures, two in Russia and one Argentina in the 1990's. In addition he has located and secured credible partners and agents leading to sales of various types of equipment and products to these regions. Other countries where business success was accomplished under his direction were China, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kazakhstan, Oman, Kuwait, Pakistan, India, Haiti, and Turkmenistan.
For three years he instructed International Market Research, Marketing and Market Entry for the Forum for International Trade Training. Has provided training in this field to foreign as well as local students at Mount Royal College, and through internet distance learning in addition to teaching at the Mount Royal campus in Calgary.
While working exclusively for Hurricane Hydrocarbons (Petro Kazakhstan) from 1996 to 1998 as Director of Training and Development, he was responsible for training over 5,600 employees and conducting detailed skills assessments and needs analysis.
From 2004 to 2005 he has spent 12 months in Kazkhstan investigating joint venture operations for companies form Alberta and Newfoundland. In addition the formation of AltMar as a Kazakhstan branch office was instigated in late 2005 to serve clients in both countries in a more efficient and cost effective manner.
In the field of project financing has obtained financing for foreign projects ranging from US$11.5 million to US$30 million. In obtaining this financing he has prepared formal business, marketing and financial plans for international lenders.
